Contractors to the Parish Council are required to have their own Public Liability insurance in place before they can undertake work for the Council. This includes grass cutters, street lighting maintainers, tree surgeons, etc.

Volunteers may be covered by the Parish Council's insurance if

• they are known to the Parish Council and are recorded as a volunteer;
• have read and understood the relevant Risk Assessment(s);
• are using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if required by the Risk Assessment(s), and
• are competent to undertake the task.

In the event of claim against the Parish Council, please contact the Clerk in the first instance.

Please note that the Play Area at Chelston Rise is not covered by the Parish Council, but by the Chelston Rise Estate Management company.
